Depending how I scored today, I would have either a backlog (if I fell short of target) or a surplus (if I overshot target) which I would ADD to (if backlog) or SUBTRACT from (if surplus) tomorrow's target.
For example, if I had a backlog of $40 today and my target tomorrow is $160, tomorrow's target will then become $200. Dividing this by 8 hours would give me how much each hour tomorrow would be worth - $25 per hour.
It will be wise to spot and address backlogs immediately while they are still manageable.
